Coniston Community Food Club
FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. FareShare take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to nearly 8,000 frontline charities and community groups.
The food FareShare redistribute is nutritious and good to eat. It reaches charities across the UK, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. Every week we provide enough food to create almost a million meals for vulnerable people.
The Coniston Community Food Club is one such recipient of FareShare's charitable contributions. We meet to redistribute food every Friday at St. Andrew's, Coniston from 10.00am to 12.00 noon.
If you are not a member but are interested in joining then please do come along and speak to us.

Open the Book
The Open the Book team from Christians Together in Coniston are dramatizing another Bible story with the children at Coniston CE Primary School.

There will be a Benefice Staff Team meeting held at the Vicarage, Penny Bridge at 3.00pm.
There will be a PCC meeting of Lowick Parochial Church Council held at Lowick Community Hall at 7.00pm

The Chosen - Screenings & Discussion
The Chosen is a new series based upon the life & ministry of Jesus Christ that has been, and is being, filmed over a number of seasons, with each episode being 45-60 minutes. The series has generated much discussion, with some people greatly enjoying the new approach, while others less so. However, the interesting take on Jesus, the disciples, and the biblical stories certainly generates good discussion.
We will be showing one episode a month on the second Thursday of the month, starting on Thursday 9th April with season 3, episode 1 until episode 8 in November 2026. We will first watch an episode and then have 30 minutes or so to discuss.
The screenings will be held in the small hall of the Greenodd Village Hall, beginning at 2.00pm – there is no cost to attend, and all are welcome.
