By Car

If you are coming north or south by car then the M6 is the easiest route to the South Lakes and then onto the Furness peninsula.

Exit the M6 at junction 36 onto west-bound A590 heading towards Barrow. On the A590 travel just over 3 miles until you see a signpost for an exit the Lake District Peninsulas, Barrow and Milnthorpe. Take the exit and take the first exit at the roundabout, turning left and still on the A590.

Travel just under 6 miles on the A590 until you come to another roundabout taking the second exit towards Barrow and Newby Bridge still on A590 and again just under 6 miles until you arrive at the Newby Bridge roundabout. Take the first exit, straight across to Greenodd on the A590.

When you arrive at the Greenodd roundabout after 5 miles, take the second exit, turning right towards Millom, Coniston, Broughton and Greenodd. Two hundred yards after the exit take the second left onto the Main Street in Greenodd. Travel to almost the end of the street when you will Mount Pleasant Road on the right which is a very sharp turn to the right, almost back on yourself.

Travel up the hill, and then passing Penny Bridge CE Academy on your right, a car park on your left, and the Vicarage driveway is the next left after the car park.

By Train

If you are coming north or south by train then you will need to change at some point at Lancaster. Once at Lancaster there is a regular service to Ulverston. You can find and book a train at Trainline.

In Ulverston, you will need to take a taxi to the Vicarage in Penny Bridge. There is a taxi rank outside of Ulverston station.

By Bus

If you are travelling by bus or coach then you will need to travel to Ulverston. The main bus station is on Victoria Road and there is a taxi rank there. You will need a taxi to the Vicarage in Penny Bridge.

The Vicarage can be found at the Vicarage, Penny Bridge, Ulverston, Cumbria. LA12 7RQ
