Partner Churches

In the Coniston and Crake Valley area there are a number of other churches that regularly meet and who take part in mission with other churches. the primary vehicle for these partner or ecumenical ventures are Christians Together in Coniston (CTC) in the top of the valley.Image 1 from Partner Churches | Coniston and Crake Churches

 

Both ecumenical ventures hold annual events to celebrate together, but also one-off events aimed at outreach and mission. Please do consult our Calendar for special events or go to the News & Publicity webpage to find out about forthcoming events and activities. 

 

 

 

Coniston Methodist Church

The Coniston Methodist Church has a committed and faithful congregation who offer a very warm welcome to regulars and visitors.


The church building is in the heart of Coniston and therefore is visited by a large number of tourist and visitors, especially during the holidays and summer months.
There are regular Sunday services held at 11.00am and pastoral and fellowship meetings throughout the month, and the congregation members are active participants in Christians Together in Coniston.

Sacred Heart RC Church

The Sacred Heart RC Church is part of the the Parish of St Francis of Assisi also comprising of Our Lady & Saint James' Catholic Church, Millom with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lancaster.


Sacred Heart RC Church is just on the outskirts of Coniston in Bowmenstead, but is still beautifully situated and attracts many tourists and day visitors.


Mass is held regularly on  Thursday at 10.30am and Saturdays at 5.00pm.

Tottlebank Baptist Church

Tottlebank Baptist Church has a gathered but faithful congregation that come to this hidden gem of a church. The building from 1697 is Grade II listed with traditional box pews, but still provides modern contemporary music for the worship and an excellent refreshment area for hospitality.


The Church congregation regularly joins in events such as the Walk of Witness on Good Friday and the Pentecost Picnic.

 
Regular services are held at 10.30am every Sunday.
